Soumya leads our early stage investments in the DeepTech domain, with a focus on advanced manufacturing, semiconductors and AI, among others. She is particularly excited about experienced teams building IP-led businesses from India, and partners closely with portfolio companies to drive strategic direction and build their support ecosystem. Prior to this, she led our growth-stage investments in the Consumer sector, playing a key role in scaling several of our portfolio businesses along with holding Board positions in several companies. Before joining Premji Invest, Soumya spent over 6 years at Swiggy, leading various strategic initiatives to support the company's 50x growth journey. She held leadership roles across growth, customer experience, and new initiatives.
Prior to this, Soumya started her career with Ernst & Young, primarily working with technology and media clients, and went on to build global investment banking experience in the same domains at Goldman Sachs, London.
An alumnus of Shri Ram College of Commerce and IIM Bangalore, Soumya is also a rank-holding Chartered Accountant. She enjoys reading, traveling, and expanding her food palate in her free time.
